SuPer is a union for practical nurses working in both the public and private sectors. In this section, you will find basic information about SuPer.
SuPer’s activities
SuPer is the largest trade union in Finland for professionals who have completed a vocational upper secondary qualification in social and health care or education and guidance, as well as students in these fields.
SuPer advocates for its members’ interests both in workplaces and across society. Additionally, SuPer actively participates in the development of vocational education in Finland.
SuPer’s story
SuPer’s history begins in 1948, when the Finnish Auxiliary Nurses Association was founded at the Helsinki Women’s Hospital.
International activities
The goal of SuPer’s international advocacy is to monitor and anticipate how international agreements and decisions will affect Finland and the workplaces of SuPer’s members.
