Instructions for paying the membership fee
Make sure that your membership fees are up to date. Paying your membership fee regularly and on time ensures that your membership and all member benefits remain valid without interruption.
You can either pay the fee yourself or arrange for your employer to deduct it directly from your salary.
The reference number and bank account details can be found on the Oma SuPer member service under Payment information and bank details.
The membership fee is generally paid monthly using the reference number provided.
The due date is the 15th of the following month (for example, the January fee must be paid by 15 February).
As long as you pay by the due date, the payment is automatically allocated to the correct month.
Membership fees are paid on all taxable income, benefits and bonuses paid by the employer, including:
- taxable salary income, benefits and fees
- income from secondary employment, part-time work and gig work
- salary paid during pregnancy and parental leave or sick leave
- income from part time work even if you also receive an adjusted unemployment allowance at the same time.
This does not include, for example, reimbursements for travel expenses or other income that is not subject to taxation.
You can change the payment method in the Oma SuPer member service.
The easiest way to handle your membership fees is to authorise your employer to deduct them directly from your pay.
The authorisation form (payment mandate) is available on SuPer’s website and in Oma SuPer under Member information – Employments.
- Open the authorisation form and fill in your information.
- Save the completed form as a PDF file and submit it to your employer’s payroll department.
- If you have more than one employer, a separate authorisation is required for each employer
If you wish to order a membership fee collection authorisation to be mailed to your home address, please complete the order form (in Finnish).
The deduction of membership fees from salary usually begins at the start of the next calendar month, depending on the employer’s payroll periods and/or the agreed start date for the deduction.
If you are not a member of SuPer yet, join SuPer.
Monitoring of membership fees
Regardless of the method of payment, the responsibility for ensuring that the membership fees are paid in full is always on the member themself. If you have chosen to have the fee deducted directly by your employer, please monitor the payments through your payslips and in the Oma SuPer service.
If you pay the membership fee yourself, please remember to pay it by the due date. You can also check the status of your payments at any time in the Oma SuPer member service.
Membership fee payments are monitored. If fees remain unpaid for several months, you will receive a reminder about the missing payments. This reminder is sent only once. If the situation is not resolved within the given time, your membership will be terminated. You will receive a written notice confirming the termination.
Changes in your life and employment situation may affect your membership and the amount of the membership fee. You can report such changes by logging in to the Oma SuPer member service.
Check the amount of your membership fees or your eligibility for a fee exemption.
If your membership fees have not been paid
If, for any reason, your membership fees have not been paid, please address the situation without delay. This ensures that your membership and benefits remain valid.
You can check your fees and pay membership fees in the Oma SuPer member service.
