This page describes the data protection and information security principles and practices that SuPer follows in order to ensure the privacy protection of its members, confidentiality of its communications and other legitimate interests.

MARKETING OF MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

We may send marketing messages related to membership benefits to our members. Our goal is to send only useful information and keep the number of messages reasonable. As our member, you can always opt out of our direct marketing messages.

Data subjects may always withdraw their consent to receive marketing content in one of the following ways:

  • Editing their information in the SuPer member area at https://www.superliitto.fi/jasensivut/ 
  • Sending a message to the Finnish Union of Practical Nurses (SuPer), membership unit, Ratamestarinkatu 12, P.O. box 112, 00521 Helsinki.

SuPer does not carry out profiling, automated individual decision-making or direct marketing without the express consent of the data subject. SuPer’s processing activities aim to safeguard the legitimate interests of the controller and third parties and never violate the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject. However, the data subject has the right to request limits on the extent of the processing and to object to the processing.


ORDERING AN EXCERPT FROM THE REGISTER

Each data subject has the right to inspect their personal data stored in the register. You can order a copy of your own personal data in electronic or paper format using a paper form. We will send the copy of your data within one month of receiving your request. You can request the copy free of charge once every six months.  

Members can check their personal data in the SuPer member area at https://www.superliitto.fi/jasensivut/.

The request can also be sent to the relevant SuPer membership unit as a secure e-mail. Use the form available at https://securemail.superliitto.fi. Select your membership unit as the recipient and “Henkilötietojen korjauspyyntö” (“Personal data rectification request”) as the subject.

Ordering a copy from the register (case register)

Send the request as a secure e-mail to SuPer’s advocacy unit. Use the form available at https://securemail.superliitto.fi. Select advocacy as the recipient and “Henkilötietojen korjauspyyntö” (“Personal data rectification request”) as the subject.

Ordering a copy from the register (holiday benefits register)

Send the request as a secure e-mail to SuPer’s financial and HR unit. Use the form available at https://securemail.superliitto.fi. Select holiday homes as the recipient and “Henkilötietojen korjauspyyntö” (“Personal data rectification request”) as the subject.


COMMUNICATION OF A PERSONAL DATA BREACH

Report any personal data breaches in SuPer’s services using the secure e-mail service available in SuPer’s portal at https://securemail.superliitto.fi/. Select data protection officer as the recipient and “Tietoturvaloukkaus” (“Personal data breach”) as the subject.
