Sostes: Negotiation result achieved

The ban on overtime and shift changes, the ban on gig work and the application boycott placed on certain companies end immediately. Upcoming strikes are cancelled.

Negotiations for a collective agreement for the private social service sector (SOSTES) achieved a result on 8 June. Negotiations had been ongoing since the end of January, and various industrial action were declared to advance them. The ban on overtime and shift changes, the ban on gig work* and the application boycott placed on certain companies end immediately. The strike warnings given on 31.5. were valid until the union boards of all negotiation parties had approved the negotiation result on 13 June 2023.

*In principle, gigs cancelled due to a gig ban will be reinstated, but if the employee or employer discover an issue regarding the agreed gig (e.g., the employee already has a new gig arranged or the employer has acquired another employee for the necessary shifts), then the agreed gig will not take place. SuPer calls upon both parties to check their situation with each other without delay.

Thank you members! Without sticking together, we would not have reached the negotiation result. The contribution of each member was strongly felt at the negotiation table!
